FOR ORGANISATIONS
Workplace Mindfulness Training
Bespoke workshops and programmes designed around the needs of your people.
Or email us at contact@mindfulnessdevon.com
Our workplace mindfulness training helps teams manage pressure, build resilience, and think more clearly under stress. Programmes are delivered on-site across the South West, or remotely for teams anywhere in the UK.
Every programme is grounded in the same evidence-based approach as our Signature Day, then adapted to your organisation’s needs — from a single introductory workshop to an ongoing wellbeing programme.
We don’t ask people to slow down. We teach them how to think better. Mindfulness is one evidence-based tool within a broader mental fitness framework — practical mental skills that help people think clearly, regulate emotions, cope with pressure and work sustainably.
WHAT WE BUILD
Six mental fitness pillars
Workplace sessions are built around the same six foundations behind everything we teach.
Focus
Directing attention with intention, in an environment built to fragment it.
Calm
Regulating the nervous system under pressure, before a deadline or a difficult conversation.
Perspective
Seeing situations clearly rather than reactively.
Connection
Building genuine relationships and belonging across a team.
Purpose
Aligning daily actions with what actually matters.
Growth
Building resilience and capacity over time, not just for one busy quarter.
Workplace mindfulness training formats
There’s no fixed package. We shape workplace mindfulness training around what your organisation actually needs and how much time your people realistically have.
Introductory workshops
A single practical session giving your team a grounded, jargon-free introduction and a handful of tools they can use straight away.
Team away days
Immersive days at our Totnes or Croyde venues, combining mental fitness work with movement, creativity and nature-based practice.
Leadership development
Sessions for managers and executives on leading under pressure and building healthier team cultures.
Ongoing programmes
Rolling wellbeing support delivered over months rather than hours, so the practice becomes habit rather than a one-off event.
What a team away day looks like
No two days are the same, because each one is built around your team. As an example, a full team away day at one of our Devon venues might run like this:
- Arriving well. Coffee, time to land, a short grounding practice, and a few minutes agreeing what the team actually wants from the day.
- Morning: Focus and Calm. How attention and pressure work, why the nervous system reacts the way it does, and practical techniques everyone tries together rather than just hears about.
- A proper lunch break. Time to eat, talk and get outside, with no programme running over it.
- Afternoon: Perspective and Connection. Responding rather than reacting, communicating under pressure, and creative, movement-based exercises that get people working together.
- Closing. Each person chooses one practice to keep, and the team agrees one shared habit to take back to work.
Half-day workshops follow the same shape in a shorter form, and online sessions are shorter again, designed to fit into a working day.
What your team takes away
- A shared language for talking about stress and pressure, so it stops being something nobody mentions
- A handful of short, practical techniques people can use between meetings, before a difficult conversation or at the end of a long day
- A clearer sense of early warning signs, in themselves and in each other
- One agreed team habit, small enough to actually keep
We keep it practical and jargon-free. Nothing on the day is compulsory, and people who arrive sceptical are very welcome. They often get the most from it.
Who our workplace mindfulness training and staff wellbeing workshops are for
We work with organisations of all kinds: businesses, schools and education teams, charities, healthcare and public sector teams, and leadership groups. Teams usually come to us for one of a few reasons.
- After a demanding stretch, a restructure or a period of change
- When a new team is forming and wants to start well
- As part of a wider staff wellbeing or burnout-prevention strategy
- For managers who want to lead well under pressure, not just survive it
We also adapt sessions for neurodivergent colleagues, drawing on our neuroaffirming approach, so that everyone in the room can take part in a way that works for them.
Workplace mindfulness training in Devon, the South West and online
Team away days can be held at our venues in Totnes and Croyde, giving your people a genuine change of scene. We also come to you, delivering on-site staff wellbeing workshops and training at workplaces across the South West, including Exeter, Plymouth, Barnstaple and Torbay.
For teams elsewhere, or spread across several sites, we run live online workshops and programmes for organisations anywhere in the UK.
Questions organisations ask
How much does a team day cost?
It depends on the format, group size and venue, so we quote individually rather than publish a figure that turns out to be wrong for you. Tell us roughly what you have in mind and we will give you a clear answer, with no obligation.
Does anyone need experience of mindfulness?
No. Sessions are designed for people who have never tried mindfulness, as well as those who have tried an app and found it didn’t stick.
Can you deliver online?
Yes. Online workshops and ongoing programmes are available for teams anywhere in the UK.
What if some of the team are sceptical?
That is normal, and fine. Everything we teach is grounded in evidence, explained plainly, and optional to take part in. We would rather people try something and decide for themselves.
Can you tailor the day to a specific issue?
Yes. Whether it is workload, change, conflict or burnout, we shape the content around what your team is dealing with.
Who delivers it
Workplace sessions are led by Sophia Roddan and Toni Wood. Toni brings more than twenty-five years of coaching, mentoring and board-level commercial leadership, alongside qualifications in Positive Psychology — so the organisational side of the conversation is grounded in lived experience, not theory.
Both are accredited Mindfulness Now teachers, a programme approved by the British Psychological Society. You can read more about our training and accreditation.
