Different backgrounds. Shared purpose. One approach.

Mindfulness Devon was created through a shared belief that wellbeing should be both evidence-based and genuinely accessible. As mindfulness teachers in Devon, we bring decades of combined experience in leadership, coaching, education and mindfulness — creating practical programmes that help people flourish in every area of life.

Our approach

We draw on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness Now, well-researched approaches grounded in the same evidence base. Sessions are practical and structured, focused on skills you can use immediately, not abstract theory.

Whether you’re an individual working through anxiety, a manager supporting a stretched team, or a community group after a taster course, the same principle applies: mindfulness should be useful, not mystical.

Why our partnership works

Individually, we bring different strengths. Together, we create something neither of us could build alone.

Together we bridge two worlds: human wellbeing and organisational performance.

Our philosophy

We don’t ask people to slow down. We teach them how to think better. We don’t teach mindfulness as an end in itself — we use it as one evidence-based tool within a broader mental fitness framework.

Every programme is practical. Every exercise has a purpose. Every participant leaves with techniques they can immediately apply in daily life.

The science

Everything we do is grounded in research from:

  • Mindfulness
  • Positive Psychology
  • Neuroscience
  • Behavioural Science
  • Habit Formation
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Performance Psychology

Our programmes are evidence-informed, accessible and measurable.

What we believe

For decades we’ve been taught to look after our physical fitness. We believe it’s time to value mental fitness in exactly the same way.

Mental fitness isn’t about sitting on a cushion or escaping everyday life. It’s about developing practical mental skills that help people think clearly, regulate emotions, cope with pressure, build resilience, and flourish — in work, at home, and throughout life.

We combine the latest evidence from mindfulness, neuroscience, positive psychology, and behavioural science with creativity, nature, and human connection to create experiences that are practical, enjoyable, and transformative. Read more about our mental fitness pillars.

Our vision and mission

A world where mental fitness is valued as highly as physical fitness — where everyone has access to practical skills that help them flourish through every stage of life.

Our mission is to make evidence-based mental fitness accessible, engaging, and life-changing, by bringing together science, creativity, and compassionate leadership.
