SPECIALIST EXPERIENCE
Mindfulness for Healthcare Professionals
Practical tools for staying well while caring for others.

Caring for others, day after day, takes a genuine toll — and it’s rarely given the same attention as the care being given.
Our mindfulness for healthcare professionals programme is a specialist day, grounded in the same evidence-based approach as our Signature Day but adapted specifically for GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and others working in clinical settings.
The focus is practical: tools for managing pressure between appointments, recognising your own warning signs early, and staying well across a long career rather than just getting through this week.
Why a specialist day
Generic wellbeing training often misses what clinical work actually demands. Sessions get interrupted. Breaks disappear. The advice to “take some time for yourself” lands differently when your day is already accounted for in ten-minute blocks.
So we build the day around the constraints you actually work within — short practices that fit real gaps, techniques for resetting between patients, and honest conversation with peers who recognise the same pressures.
What our mindfulness for healthcare professionals day covers
- Short grounding and breath practices designed for clinical settings
- Recognising early warning signs of sustained pressure in yourself and colleagues
- The evidence base behind mindfulness, including MBSR and MBCT
- Self-compassion practices for people trained to prioritise everyone else
- Building a sustainable personal practice around shift patterns
- Time to step back, think, and reset among peers
Grounded in recognised training
Sophia and Toni are both accredited Mindfulness Now teachers. The programme is approved by the British Psychological Society and integrates elements of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, the latter recommended by NICE.
Sophia holds a postgraduate certificate in Mindfulness-Based Approaches and is registered with the British Association for Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA). Both work under ongoing supervision. Full details are on our qualifications page.
Full programme dates and details are coming soon. GP referrals and practice enquiries are always welcome — please get in touch to discuss how we can support your team or practice.
