Who this suits
People who regulate through movement, and anyone for whom quiet, seated practice has never worked.
When to use it
Well suited to outdoor sessions and to moments when sitting still would add stress rather than remove it.
A note on the approach
Layering sound, scent and movement gives several anchors at once, so if one becomes too much there is somewhere else for attention to rest. It also removes the pressure to focus on internal sensation, which is often the hardest part of conventional mindfulness.
Grounding doesn't have to be still or quiet.
