Who this suits
Groups working with difference, and anyone practising self-compassion.
When to use it
Suited to group settings, and to moments of self-criticism.
A note on the approach
A loving-kindness practice written with identity in mind. It acknowledges that people arrive carrying different histories and that the world has not always made room for who they are, and it offers gentler alternatives for when kindness toward oneself feels out of reach.
You might be sitting, standing, lying down, or gently moving. Your eyes can be open, softly focused, or closed if that feels comfortable. There's no need to change your body, your breath, or your experience in any way. You belong here exactly as you are.
