Who this suits
Anyone starting a session, and practitioners opening a group.

When to use it
Best used at the beginning, before any longer practice.

A note on the approach
Rather than assuming everyone arrives wanting the same thing, this practice asks whether you are sensory seeking or sensory reducing today, and then explicitly permits you to act on the answer — taking breaks, moving, or disengaging without needing to explain yourself.

Feel free to arrive in this session in whatever way feels right for you today. There's no need to change your body, your energy, or your level of attention. You can be sitting, standing, moving, or resting. Your eyes can be open or closed, or somewhere in between. You're welcome to adjust at any time.
