Who this suits
People who like a physical anchor, and groups working outdoors or with natural materials.

When to use it
Works as a standalone practice or as a longer, more contemplative session.

A note on the approach
The stone gives something steady to return to alongside the breath — one solid, one moving. If the breath becomes uncomfortable, attention can rest entirely on the object instead, which keeps the practice available on difficult days.

The invitation is to arrive in this practice in whatever way feels right for you. You might be sitting, standing, lying down, or moving gently. There's no need to be still unless you want to be. Your eyes can be open, softly focused, or closed if that feels okay. You can change how you're engaging at any point.
